Love Bites

Wednesday started out as a normal day until approximately 8:30 a.m. when one of Lily's classmates decided to take a chomp out of her FACE - yes, I said FACE.

Lily and the "biter" were playing at the kitchen set, and he leaned over with his mouth wide open and bit Lily's cheek. No aggression, just wanted a little taste. The top teeth ended up right below her eye, the bottom teeth were even with her mouth. Fortunately the skin was not broken, Lily only cried for about a minute, ice was applied, and she recovered and had a good day.

Confidentiality does not allow for the school to tell us who the "biter" was, however, Stuart and I have our suspicions and are almost positive that it was one particular boy in her class - we, however, will not slander the lad on Lily's blog.:) His parents were purportedly horrified by the incident, although neither parent has discussed the incident with us to date. We of course don't blame the "biter," it is a pretty common habit with toddlers, but obviously this needs to be nipped (no pun intended) in the bud and we hope it does not happen again.

Fortunately, Lily has recovered and holds no grudges. Today, the bottom bite is purplish but healing well. We did take a few pics for posterity (and pending litigation)... we believe she will make a full recovery!! See you Monday!!

P.S. - Thanks to Cousin Jenna for the cute skirt and shirt outfit below.
