Grazed Knees

Lily had a great week at school and a relaxing weekend at home, however, we pretty much failed to document any of her activities so this blog post will be pretty short - hopefully we will redeem ourselves next week.

Lily did get an opportunity to meet a new little friend, Ella, daughter of Mom's friend Tiffany - and we did manage to document that visit. We, however, did not get any pics or video of Lily reacting to the family cat, Oscar. Upon seeing Oscar appear, Lily screamed and grabbed onto Tiff's leg. Fortunately, Oscar did not seem too affected by Lily's blood curling scream, however, she did manage to wake up Ella from her snooze. Upon calming down just a bit, Lil looked at the cat from afar, but in Mom's arms, and was very happy when Oscar went upstairs to take a nap. This is Lily's first encounter with a cat, but we were surprised by her reaction, due to her constant contact with Gypsy, Ivan, Frisco, Kaci, and many more dogs. Needless to say, Lily constantly talked about being scared of the cat over the weekend. Apologies to Oscar - we hope the next meeting Lily's greeting can be a little more friendly! :)

Friday afternoon Mom and Lily went to the pool to beat the high-90s heat. After about an hour in the baby pool, Lily finally wanted to venture to the big pool, and proceeded to jump into Mom's arms approximately 50 times in a row - she had a blast and loved watching the bigger kids swim.

The weekend was mainly spent packing up for the move, although Saturday night we enjoyed some crabs with friends Chris & Kristen.

We are off to New Jersey this upcoming weekend to celebrate Poppa Syd's 95th birthday, so hopefully we will get some good family pics. See you next week.
