Beatrice was off last week so Grandma Gail spent some quality time with both Jack and Lily. On Tuesday, Grandma Gail came over with cousin Casey, took Lily to her swim lessons, and then hung out with the pool with the kids. Later, the kids continued play at our house, on the playground, and in the backyard - and then Mom got home in time to make some dinner - we suspect Grandma Gail slept well that night. But only a short while to relax, because Grandma Gail was at it again with Lily and Jack on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, Lily and Jack spent some more time at the pool, and on Thursday the kids went to the zoo. Thanks Grandma Gail for babysitting! On Friday, Dad stayed home and spent some quality time with Jack running errands and lunching with a friend.
The weekend was spent pretty close to home, with a visit by Hayley and Cole on Saturday, which included the creation of Camp Dumbo in the basement, a game of hide and seek/tag in the backyard, time on the playground, and water play with squirt guns and water bottles.
Sunday, we hit the pool in the afternoon - Lily has made leaps and bounds literally with regard to her swimming! As of Memorial Day weekend, she was barely putting her face under water, and is now swimming under water, kicking her legs, trying out some strokes, and on Sunday jumped off the side for the first time without being caught or holding hands. She graduated to the next level in swim lessons which began this morning, so we expect her to be swimming laps by the end of the session!
Enjoy the pics!

A mouthful of checks.

Jack is not sure what to do with the super soaker but he loves carrying it around.
