Northern Sky

A really busy week went by quickly so time for another blog entry. Once we got back from New York it was almost time for Thanksgiving. As many know, we hosted the big meal for the first time this year and we had a great dinner with many family members (18) ... Marcy did a great job and her first turkey turned out fantastic and all the traditional sides were great. Unfortunatley, we were so busy cooking and hosting that we don't really have any pictures from the Turkey Day ... we will have to get Grandpa Tom's shots.

We cleaned up from dinner and were off to Toronto to celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of my cousin Graeme. Lily got a chance to meet many of her relatives and had a chance to play with her little (second) cousins. We had a great time on the trip and it was really nice to spend some time with relatives. Grandpa Maurice got to spend time with Lily over the weekend too and hopefully Grandma Phyllis will get over her flu soon.

That is all for now ... we got home today so tomorrow is back to the normal programming. Lil is going back to school for the first time in almost two weeks -- will they recognize her there? She is walking so well now and is eating like a champ ... growing in leaps and bounds. I almost forgot to mention that her first molar has broken through. She seems to have the chewing thing down and was chewing and eating whole crackers and other foods like a champ this weekend.

Lil is all bundled up for her trip to the great white north.

Lil all dressed up, eating bread and smelling the flowers with Cousin Arelene.

Quality time with Uncle Simon.

All dressed up ...

Catching some zzzzs when possible.

Lily showing off her specialty - eating!

Lily playing with her cousin Aden who is exactly one year older than her.

Lily hanging out with Grandpa Maurice.

Marcy is readling to Lily and her cousin Samara.

Lily drawing on the Aquadoodle pad. She seemed to really like this ... we are going to have to get one.

Lily showing Aden her favorite thing to do ... trying to press the buttons on electronic components.

I posted a comment last nite...where is it???? Oh well, here it is again ( what ever I can rememeber...). We are so glad that Lily was a great traveller and such a gracious guest...she looked like a princess in her dresses...I am sure that she will adapt to her school routine easily and happily (such a weel-adjusted child!)...looking forward to her next trip (no dresses necessary!)...auntie d
