Who Knows Where The Time Goes

Rather exciting week on the weather front...we received our first bit of snow which of course paralyzed the area resulting in school being closed and nanny being off on Wednesday - I think total accumulation was about 3 inches. On Tuesday, Lily enjoyed playing in the snow at school and Jack enjoyed playing outside with Jonah and Beatrice. By Wednesday, however, the snow had turned into a sheet of ice. While Jack did not venture out, Lily did enjoy a bit of sledding in our front yard - we have the perfect little hill for beginners! Also the snow day brought an impromptu playdate with neighbors Madeleine and Clare.

On Friday, Lily and Jack went swimming with Mom, and spent the rest of the day playing and napping, respectively. On Saturday, we met up with Ms. Michelle, Mr. John, Cole and Hayley for some play time and Italian food - Jack LOVES spaghetti noodles. On Sunday, Lily enjoyed some morning time at Ikea (the drop off play area), then had a tea party downstairs for her animals, and later Jack and Lily had another quick playdate with Madeleine and Clare at the soggy playground. Sunday night, we attended a Super Bowl party, fortunately it was kid friendly and Lily and Jack had a great time eating and playing. Lily was actually the big winner in "predicting" the points scored in the 4th quarter and won $50 - hopefully this will not become an early addiction.

Lily's latest annoucements include wanting to be a mommy and animal doctor when she grows up - although she has also expressed an interest in being a people doctor. We will support any decisions she makes, although we are hoping she changes her mind about wanting to marry Jack...

Needless to say there was a lot of broccoli on the shirt so Jack got to walk around for a few minutes showing off his belly.
