Lake of Fire

Happy to report that Lily had a very good week at school, and there was only minimal crying. At the beginning of the week, she was a little teary during drop off but by the end of the week she was happily going into school, and proudly reported (as did her friend Audrey) that she did not cry during nap time. Lily now can tell us the names of a few of her new classmates and her teacher, and is enjoying all her art projects - this week she made a jellyfish, seahorse, and an aquarium - we might need to get a separate storage facility for all of her artwork.

Mom and Dad also got the basement playroom pretty organized and Lily discovered a multitude of toys that had been packed away - it was essentially comparable to Christmas day without the expense.;) She still refers to home as her "new house" but seems to be adjusting pretty well to all of the changes.

This weekend, Lily and Mom went to Lake Anna to visit with her fellow blogger and friend Brooke, and Mom's college friends Kristen, Holly, Mark & Rick (Dad stayed home with Gypsy to do some painting). Lily enjoyed visiting a "different" lake and liked swimming in her life jacket with a noodle - initially she wanted Mom to hold her in the water, but soon enough was independently noodling around. She loved the lakeside sandbox, and enjoyed reading books and having tea with Brooke.

As you will see below, Lily returned home to a freshly painted room, courtesy of hard working Dad - she picked the color green and Dad hopes she does not change her mind for many years to come.

Enjoy the pics!

you realize that my mother would not go to sleep until she commented - despite the fact that she was still on italia time.

These two girls are going to be trouble together... you can just tell....
