Unfortunately, the battery on our camera died so we have very few pictures this week. We do have one cute video though of Lily playing peek-a-boo.
Lil does a lot of funny things on a regular basis - she is quite the clown. We are so used to these things that they usually don't make it to the blog. But, in the effort to maintain this blog as a complete record for posterity, I would be remiss if I failed to record the latest ... Lil has decided that calling me Dad is just not enough. This morning Marcy was dressing Lily for school and she heard me coming in from walking the dog. She starts to yell, "Dad, Dad" and when I make it up to her room she points to me and yells "Dooart". I have a feeling that when she really wants my attention now I am going to be referred to as "Dooart".
Enjoy the pictures and video.

That's what I like - a good sense of humour! She is still verrrrry cute....and happy! Lots of love, D
It was two years ago this week that I first set my eyes on our little Lily. And little she was - tiny and adorable and completely dependent on us for everything. I loved those days with her - even the 4 am feedings - because I got to rock her in Sheryl's rocking chair and tell her all about our family, our stories and the wonderful things that were to come. I told her about how she would walk, and talk, and play... about her over-protective sometimes crazy auntie donna who would go to the ends of the earth for her... about her uncle stephen who would cultivate her inevitable love for shoes in the swimming pool ... about her silent but stoic great bubby ... about her zaida paul's obsession with techonology and gadgets that had been passed onto her dad (now known as Dooart) ... about her cool cousins in NYC that she could come to any time she needed advice. Never had I had such a captive audience. And in the two years since, she has learned some of these things, and some she has yet to learn. But watching her grow, in person and on the blog, has been the most amazing experience of my life... She is ever the source of entertainment and smiles - just what I need every Tuesday (sometimes Monday) morning. I love her to bits, and I too cannot imagine my life without lily.
