Break On Through (To The Other Side)

It is amazing what happens when you are not even paying attention. Lily has been drooling and teething for so long now that I think we forgot the end result is actually a tooth or two. As a result, when her nose started running on Thursday neither Marcy or I thought to check out what was going on in Lil's mouth. But there we were, on the Lake in the Grandpa Tom and Grandma Gail's pontoon boat and Aunt Tracy leaned in for a look and spotted some white in Lil's mouth. A front tooth had broken through and it looks like its neighbor is moving in as well. Time for some non-blended carrots!

It was a busy week of school, birthday's (Grandma Gail and Marcy's), trips to the Lake and first Mother's Days. We went down to the Lake on Friday and Lily slept the whole way down (about 3.5 hours) ... Grandma Gail was there to greet us with dinner and we had a nice quiet night. Lily played with coasters most of the time -- we give her toys but she loves other stuff. By the next day Grandpa Tom was there along with Aunt Tracy and Uncle Stan. The rest of the weekend was spent eating, boating, playing horseshoes, eating, celebrating birthdays, eating, finding teeth, eating and did I mention eating. Lily was a very good girl all weekend -- even on the drive back when we hit traffic and had to take a little detour. We stopped on the way home to pick up Gypsy at Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Maurice's house. They were kind enough to baby-sit the four legged child and then we headed home.

Lil was back in school today and she says, in her special shriek, that she can't wait to get back to the Lake. Oh, also, not as exciting as a tooth from a child proofing perspective, but Lily has started to move. Fortunately for now she seems stuck in reverse which makes it harder for her to get where she is trying to go.

That's all until next week.

Snoozing before heading off to the Lake.

Ahh, how refreshing.

A little backwards crawling.

Getting a little sun.

Ready for a pontoon boat ride.

All set, let's go.

Lily starring as Elton John on a boat.

If you look really closely and out of focus you can see a tooth.

Hanging with Mom.

"That was fun, let's go again."

Tastes like pink.

Sitting outside on a lazy Sunday.

Wearing Dad's hat.

Lily is all ready for her next trip to the Lake. Posted by Hello

Excuse the delay,
In my response today.
I did check the blog,
But had no time to log
A comment or two
As I normally do.
A sunny, warm day
It was golf - had to play!
Now that there's time
To make up this rhyme
I just wanted to say
The pics you display
Are just the best
You passed the test
For those far away
To see day-to-day
How Lily is growing
And how she is knowing
So many new joys
So many new toys
She has lots of fun
When she's with every one
A great family
Love to you, Auntie D

The pictures are grrrrreat!! Number 1 and 2 are simply the best... the one where she is looking into Marcy's eyes should be submitted to Hallmark for a Mother's Day card...she does have an amazing supply of hats but Uncle Steve-o really liked the one when she is wearing Stuart's baseball hat...that's all for now!

Every day I log onto to see my little "angel" sleeping (picture#1), awakening, (picture#2) playing, crawling, eating napkins, smiling, modelling hats...she is so much fun to see!!!
Looking forward to Monday already (and it's only Thursday...)
