Shut Out the Light

Another busy week in these parts. We are headed out west for 10 days so this our last post for two weeks.

Here is a run down of the week that was ...

Tuesday - our usual visit from Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom.

Friday - an after school visit to a local neighborhood with Cherry Blossom Trees in full bloom.

Saturday - a morning trip to buy a new bike for Jack but he was not interested and not really ready for a new bike. He settled for a new helmet and he really wanted a Camelbak so he did not have to carry a water bottle any more! The afternoon was play date with Lily's friend Madeline. Despite the bad weather, the girls and their mascot Jack, held an art sale. Then it was dinner out with Maddie and her family.

Sunday - A busy afternoon of soccer and then movie night - a showing of Annie - which the kids loved. Lily's soccer team won seven to zero. Jack had a good time kicking the ball around as well.

That is all for now. A full report and pictures upon our return from Colorado.

Time To Move On

A very busy weekend around these parts.

Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom visited Tuesday night and helped celebrate an early St. Patrick's day.

On Wednesday we had a visit from Grandpa Maurice who was in town from Florida for a few days. He came over for dinner and had a chance to spend some time with the kids. We met up again on Thursday night for dinner and the kids introduced Grandpa to one of their favorite spots.

Friday night was movie night - The Fox and Hound II. On Saturday, Marcy, Lily and Jack had a brunch at a friend's house and then a play date with friends Anderson and Brooke. The day was finished off with dinner with friends Jenn and Andy.

Sunday was the first day of soccer of the spring season. Lil is on an all girls team and she seemed to have a fun time with her new purple squad mates. Jack is back on the royal blue squad with Coach Bill and his friends from last year.

In between all of the activity we also managed to sell our house which was a good thing since we already purchased a new one. We will be moving in May - lots of packing to do between now and then.

That is all for now ... here are some pictures from the week.

This House is Not For Sale

Not much to report this week. Regular activities continue - visits from Grandma Gail, Grandpa Tom, Aunt Kelly and Bodie. Lily had piano on Thursday and Friday night was movie night at friend Madeline's house - the original Parent Trap.

On Saturday we ran some errands in the morning and then in the afternoon Jack had a play date with his friend Oliver and Lily had her friend Marley's birthday party. It was an ice skating party and Lily did great on skates. She had a good time and it was a fun party.

On Sunday we took Daisy to the dog park and had busy 23 hour day. In the afternoon Jack tried to ride his bike without his training wheels - not quite ready for prime time - and we played some soccer in the front yard.

All, in all, a fun week. Here are some pictures ...

Fur Elise

Some good reading video this week from Lily and Jack and few pictures from the week that was.

We had our weekly visit from Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom on Tuesday. Aunt Kelly and Bodie joined as well. On Thursday, Lily had her piano lesson. She continues to learn how to play more and more tunes and seems to enjoy it when we don't have to force her to practice!

The weekend was pretty quiet as we ran some errands and hung out around the house. On Saturday but Lily and Jack had a successful evening with a baby sitter as we went out for the evening. On Sunday, Lily had her second installment of the kids National Symphony Orchestra and it was a huge success. She had a really good time and enjoyed the music of Mozart.

That is all for this week. Until next Monday ...
