Tuesday was our weekly visit from Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom. Aunt Kelly joined in as well.
Wednesday and Thursday flew by, which included Lily attending Science Night at her school with Dad. Friday finished off with movie night, which included pizza, popcorn, and a special showing of Peter Pan which Jack especially loved. Saturday was spent running a few errands and then playing soccer with Jack and Lily's respective teams. We finished up the evening with fajitas and smores at neighborhood friends' house. On Sunday, we hit a local indoor water park and Lily took about 20 trips down the large water slide.
Not much in the way of pictures this week but here are a few.
Lily has had a few weeks of swim lessons and is progressing nicely, working on diving, and freestyle breathing. Jack was supposed to do swim lessons but he decided it was not for him. On Saturday, both kids began soccer - Jack is on the navy blue team with the 3 year olds and Lily is on the teal team with the kindergartners - both kids loved it and had lots of fun.
On Friday, Lily had her Salamander Stride, a school run in which she collected sponsors - she ran 4 laps around the track and raised $315 for her school! Lily and Jack also ran a 1/4 mile in a kids race on Sunday, they each received a ribbon and a gummy worm.
We have been keeping busy with lots of walks/bike rides to the creek due to some nice spring weather.
Enjoy the pics!

Not much news to report this week. Jack was a little under the weather and ended up with an ear infection this weekend. It was really bothering him until today but he seems to be well on his way to recovery as of tonight. Today is the two year anniversary of his bacterial meningitis event so maybe he decided to get sick for old time sake.
Over the weekend we spent a lot of time around the house. We enjoyed the nice weather on Saturday and spent lots of time outside. Bike rides and trips to feed the neighborhood ducks. Sunday it rained and rained so we spent the day inside and took a quick trop to Costco.
We did not get much in the way of pictures or video this week. Just two pictures of Jack.
This week we attended Lily's first big event at school - the kindergarten play/recital. There was a lot of hype prior to this big event and Lily had been practicing for weeks, to include her line that she was given. She was a chicken, and as you will see from the video they sang lots of fun songs about the farm. Enjoy the video! Not sure if there is a good enough picture but Jack was so excited to see the recital that he actually sat up front on the floor with some of the older elementary school kids, it was hilarious watching him converse with 3rd graders, he can definitely hold his own.
We had a fun weekend with a few bike rides/walks to the creek, which included Lily's longest bike ride to date! They had a chance to feed the ducks, and Lily collected objects for part of her homework - she has to compare the selected objects (rock, feather, stick) to a picture of a stick. We also saw friends Sarah, Derek, Adam (5 months), Purnima, Selvan, and Sowmya (17 months) - Lily loves showing the babies the ropes.
At school, Lily has been learning quite a bit about famous black americans, slavery and segregation in light of Black History Month, and she has been working on writing sentences and number sequencing. Jack's school had a grocery store made up of empty food containers and he continues to love music - he came home today singing the new songs taught to him by Ms. Jan. He has also started to like attending Spanish and Yoga (he was afraid of the teachers) - he even showed us a yoga pose yesterday.
The kids start swim lessons on Saturday and soccer in a few weeks - we are ready for Spring weather!
Lily and Jack want to send special birthday hugs and kisses to Uncle Stan who celebrates his birthday on Friday!
