Rocky Mountain High

Well we are back from our big Memorial day weekend sojourn to Colorado to see Aunt Tracy, Uncle Stan and the newest family member baby Casey Jean. It was a busy week that was with last Monday's ballet recital and Tuesday's parent's breakfast and concert at Lily's school.

Wednesday we were off to Colorado - Lil's umpteenth flight and Jack's second were pretty uneventful. Jack and I both had really bad colds all week but he handled the flight like a trooper and was all smiles. Lily continues to be a great big sister and let Jack watch her movies with her and tried to keep him entertained when he got a little cranky.

Once we got to Colorado, Jack and Lily had a great time and got a chance to get to know their new cousin. We had all had fun exploring Tracy and Stan's area. We all got to visit the ski resorts and the towns around where they live. Thursday and Friday Aunt Tracy drove us around but we were limited a bit by some snow flurry storms and some children unadjusted to the time change. On Saturday and Sunday we went to Breckenridge where there were some activities set up for kids. Lily had a great time and was a brave girl as she played on inflatable slides, a bungee jump and a moon bounce. She also got her face painted and had a really great time. Jack had a good time watching and getting ready for his turn.

Needless to say, it was a busy few days but we are all looking forward to going back to visit next winter for some skiing and winter fun. Many thanks to our gracious hosts who put up with stuffy noses and a very full house.

Onto the pictures and video. Have a great week. For more pics of our trip, go to Tracy and Stan's blog, there is a link to your right, otherwise click here.

P.S. - Jack and I are feeling better. Many thanks to Marcy who took good care of Jack and put up with me for the past few days while I was of little help.

P.P.S. - Lily and Jack wanted to shout a belated anniversary wish to Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Maurice.

Tiny Dancer

Busy week to report on here. Lily had a great week at school - playing with friends and keeping busy. She has started to meet some more kids in the neighborhood now that the weather is turning nicer. Jack is continuing to grow like a weed and is eating and sleeping well. Jack is starting to get the hang of oatmeal and seems to be enjoying it. The nanny share is going well and he seems to really like being with Beatrice and Jonah.

This weekend featured lots of playtime. Lily, Jack, Grandpa Maurice and I went duckpin bowling on Saturday. Lily had been for a couple of birthday parties and was excited to go back. Lily, Jack and I played around during the afternoon and then went out for a quick bite.

We had a quiet Sunday around the house and geared up for the big ballet recital today. Lily had her big show this morning and she did a great job. Check out the pics and video below.

That is all for now. See you next week!

Like a Rolling Stone

Lily and Jack and Marcy survived a week without me as I was away for work. While I was gone I apparently missed a whole lot of activity! Jack has been rolling over non-stop and we have finally seen him do it. Jack rolled over a few times before but we never actually saw it as it happened. Now he is not being so shy. Lily is also being a great big sister and her vocabulary keeps increasing exponentially.

We had a very busy weekend and spent some quality time in the car. On Saturday we visited friends in Pennsylvania as Eric and Melissa had a great barbeque baby shower. They are expecting a little boy at the end of June. Lily had a chance to play with friend Ian and Jack got to play with a different Jonah.

On Sunday, we visited Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom for lunch and had special visit from Great Uncle Chris and Cousin Sarah. Lily had a chance to play with Sarah and a very good time. On Sunday night Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Maurice came to visit and babysit Lily and Jack as Marcy and I went out to dinner.

That is all for now. Have a good week and special wishes for a good trip to Italy for Cousin Stephanie.

Some Other Spring

A busy week here at Lily and Jack World. Lily had a full week of activities at school and Jack and Jonah and Beatrice were busy eating, sleeping and getting bigger at home.

On Thursday we went to visit Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom to pick up Ivan and for an early birthday celebration for Marcy and Gail. Happy Birthday to both of them this week! Also celebrating a birth day last week was new cousin Casey Jean who descended on the world on Thursday morning. Click on Tracy and Stan's blog on the right to see some baby pics.

A quiet weekend here more or less. Lil had a birthday party at classmate Emily's birthday yesterday and we had a visit from Hayley and Cole last night. Today we did stuff around the house and went for a long walk.

Feel better wishes go out to Uncle Stephen who has been suffering from a bad flu and Yellow Great Grandma Katie who suffered from a pretty serious leg injury. Wishes for a speedy recovery.
