Jingle Bells

Blogging live from Florida tonight ... we could not let our faithful reader(s) down! We had a busy Chrismakah weekend and are now on to the travel leg of our holiday vacation. We all got up early to head down to Florida ... Lil was very chipper for 5 am. Our flight was uneventful and now we are relaxing in nice warm Florida.

Lily had a very successful Hanukah/Christmas and has scored many new toys. Due to travel, we have not had a chance yet to play with them all but stay tuned for future shots featuring baby ugg boots (not a toy but extremely cute), aqua doodle, little people, Weebles and more little people and a giant dog ball pit.. not to mention clothes, puzzles, and some little people. The ball pit, from Marcy and I was a big hit and there is a video below. Also, in case you missed it there is a cute walking video from last week that was posted on Friday.

I think that is about all. Not too many pictures this week ... too much wrapping paper in the way. We come home in time for a rockin' new year's eve and another posting next Monday night. Happy holidays, everyone.

Cry Me A River

We have reached the 15 month mark, and have many teeth and molars to show for it!! Lily has essentially given up crawling, and has now begun to run and take quite a few spills - fortunately no major injuries to date.

Friday began with a shopping mall expedition with Miss Michelle and Cole and Hayley to see Santa Claus - let's just say that Lily was not estatic to see St. Nick although we did manage to get a picture with mom to document the occasion - she was very happy to wave goodbye to Santa.

Friday afternoon we went to her 15 month check-up and unlike her 1 year check-up she had no interest in chatting with Dr. G. or any of the nurses. She had her last shots until she is 4 so she is relieved about that. She weighed in at 24 pounds, 4 oz, and 30 3/4 inches. We don't go back again until 20 months so Lily has 5 months to prepare herself mentally.

Saturday night we went to see the Lights on the Bay - a light show at Sandy Spring Park by the Bay Bridge in Annapolis. Lily was excited to see the lights but once Santa Claus approached our car window to offer a candy cane prior to our entry into the park, she was somewhat traumatized and did not enjoy the spectacle as much as her parents - we suspect she will enjoy it a lot more next year!

The rest of the weekend was just spent relaxing, preparing for the holiday craziness coming up and our trip to FL. Hopefully we will get in a post before we jet off to FL, until then enjoy the few pics we took.

Marcy -- despite what is says below.

Smile Like You Mean It

Another week in the books in Lily-land. We started off last week with Lily a bit under the weather but by the time we got to the day of her doctor's appointment she was cured. It was probably just a combination of teeth, a small cold and a busy few weeks (she just needed some r&r). She is off to the doc's office this week for her 15 month appointment so we will have updated weights, measures and percentiles next week. Hard to believe that last weekend marked 15 months ... time flies when changing dirty diapers.

We had a nice quiet weekend at home. On Saturday we did some stuff around the house and then went to visit our friends John and Michelle and their kids Cole and Hayley. Lily and Hayley got to play together and laugh together at Cole. They seem to have fun together and at dinner they seemed to be having an eating contest as they are both excellent at chowing down.

Sunday we ran some errands -- a little Chrismukah shopping. Lily is all shopped for from us but I have a feeling this will be the last year we will get off easy and be able to give her an empty cardboard box to play with ... just kidding. Since her presents are surprises you will have to wait until post-holiday pictures to see what she scored.

We also took a trip to Stride Rite for a foot measurement. Lily has fully grown into her size 4 1/2 wides so we will have to pick out some new shoes soon. It was just Lil and I at the store and I was unwilling to pull the trigger and make such an important fashion choice without motherly consultation.

That is all for now. See you next week. We are off to Florida on the 26th for some warm weather but we will have a posting or two before then.

"No, really, I wasn't feeding Gypsy anything. I promise."

One little piggy hanging out with another ... no, really, you should see Lily eat.

Our starlet pushing the paparazzi away.

Body not in motion for a second.

She just kept putting that circle thing on her head so we were obliged to take a picture.

Being serious ... Lily loves her Leapfrog Learning Book but has no idea how to use it and she has no patience to read it with our help.

Ready for a jog.

All smiles ...

More smiles ...

Almost forgot ... here is a little video ... press play.

In the backseat

Molars, we've got molars. Lots of them coming in. We are up to three breaking through. That is the big news update for the week. It was a quiet week.

We had a nice quiet weekend at home and ran a bunch of errands and relaxed around the house. We saw both sets of grandparents -- Saturday with Grandma Phyllis and Grandpa Maurice who are off to Florida this week and Sunday with Grandma Gail and Grandpa Tom for Christmas tree tirimming.

That is all about for this week -- not much news to report so enjoy the pictures ... we know that is what you are here for anyway. See you next week!

Da plane, da plane ...

Eating goldfish from a dixie cup.

First taste of candy cane.

Concentrating on something ... I am not sure what.

Rolling with a sippy cup.

Trying to break a snow globe.

A serious conversation with a Little Person.

Placing an ornament.

Knocking down an ornament.

All smiles.
